A GOOD WEEKEND

Yesterday, we made like tourists and took a cruise up the Orwell River. Here are some pictures.

Today, was a lovely day. The weather was lovely, the sun shone, it was warm. Before lunch we had kir royals in the garden and after lunch we played bat and ball and French cricket in the garden.

BUT Would you let a man who wore sunglasses like this into your home?

(YES, he is my Father in law)

So far, so good!
Dodgy glasses nothwithstanding!

Great photos. A good working dock which is nice to see.

Pauline Quirke, Lucy let me tell you that you do not look at all like PQ...I've always sung your praises and beauty to all and sundry....(and Audrey) I hope it's going OK for you...It's hard, harder than having my dad who apart from having every ailment under the sun is actually doing alright and bonding with Guy in the veg patch as we speak. I shall try to take a photo today as we're going to the Beach for lunch..
have a happy day if you can...

Hahahaha how funny. I don't know Norwich but I asked a friend of mine who lives in Norwich to take some photos for Tess of her blessed Gas Hill and anyway she (Gina, my friend) asked what the photos were for and I told her about the blog and she looked at it and some others and because your blog is listed under my friends thing she looked at it and then she was walking through NOrwich towards Gas Hill and who should she see but the person in the photo on the blog. Or she thought it was you. Shame she didn't take any photos of you and your lot - I could have got revenge for Euro-Trac for that house stunt you pulled on her.

How strange. Life is full of coincidences.

Yes, it is spooky. I once got out of a lift in Hong Kong and bumped into the woman who used to live next door to me a few years earlier.

I've no idea how she recognised you really and she wasn't sure or I know she would have gone up to you.

Gas Hill is near the Cathedral I believe. She saw you in the Cathedral Close.

Maybe she will be in one of your photos!!?

Oh dear, I haven't seen her for a year. But she's in her 40s, tall, she's always had long hair (sometimes in a plait). She has three sons who I know were with her because they found it funny when they got to gas hill and it had been altered to Gasp Hill (it';s very steep). The boys are between 4 and 10 I think. I'll spot her if she's there.

Anyway, I must go and sort things out before T and R get back. Romy is trying to finish her homework and is making a horrible mess of it.
